mini life update!  

-i finally figured out what i’m doing with school.  i’m finishing up my associates degree in fashion illustration this spring, and assuming admissions goes as planned next fall i’ll be starting a 1yr communication design (graphic design) associates degree for FIT students who already have a degree.  that will leave me with two degrees and plenty of options if i want to get a BFA later, but it will probably result in me taking time off school to freelance/do internships/self publish personal art projects/go full-time at apple so i can stop being so poor.  it’s really exciting.  yes, i am a dork who likes white space and typography.  i’m down with getting a degree in that.

-i’m 14 (rough) pages deep into an autobiographical web comic i plan to have up and running by november.  i have 32 more pages planned so far, and i’m really absurdly excited to start sharing it.  those 44 pages (and counting) will be about my dating life from june to september, which is incredibly silly but if you ask anyone who has heard the stories i think they’ll vouch that this is going to be good.

-i’m seeing some nice boys.  still completely unsure of what i’m looking for, but very much enjoying myself in the mean time.  so there’s that.

-my childhood friend kristina is celebrating her 21st birthday a week from today, and she’s coming into the city with fifteen girls in tow for a night themed “drag queen.”  the dress code is sequins.  i will have six girls sleeping in my apartment next tuesday and i don’t even own a couch.  we’ll see how this goes.

-i get anxious and cranky at times, but mostly i’m really pleased with life right now.  things are looking good.
