(this shirt is infamous, every time i wear it strangers feel the need to discus daria with me. it’s kind of embarrassing. also, hello haircut.)
i go back to school in seven hours which means summer is over. without a doubt it has been the silliest summer of my life, and i’m in the works of writing and drawing all of it out for public consumption. it will take a while, but there are too many ridiculous moments i physically can not keep to myself any longer. keep an eye out.

spent the day drinking on the beach, blowing up balloons, sending rude text messages, talking way too much about sex, eating pb&js, listening to the party station, and seeing everyone i love. i wish my life was a permanent beach camp out.

so a couple weeks ago i got my fourth tattoo (if we’re counting this guy). i blame my lack of internet for not showing it off sooner, but i also just sort of forgot about it. it’s from the cover of this book, a self portrait by shel silverstein when he was a travel cartoonist for playboy in the 70’s. he was the first illustrator i ever really knew existed and loved, and to this day his kooky line quality still gets me excited. when he worked for playboy he had my dream job: being sent to far away places to observe the locals and draw what he saw. and now he’s on my ribs, drawing board in hand, to remind me of what i want. and to check out my boob.
