A few times in my life I’ve had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I have lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present, and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be.

Human beings are very quirky and individualistic, and wonderfully idiosyncratic, and while I love that about human beings, it makes it hard to figure out what they like.

I find that the things of value to me have become quite clear - that the times of closeness with real friends is becoming the most valuable thing of all. Travel for me almost has no value anymore…I’ve created an image of a world traveler and adventurer, and the fact is I fucking want to sit down and grow roses with Suzie Q - I’m gonna do it.

Liz: I’m going to tell Drew that I’m having a little “Welcome to the building” party for him. But there is no party! And then, when he shows up, I’ll laugh and say, “Oh, it’s the wrong night.” And then he’ll laugh and say, “Oh, one glass couldn’t hurt.” And then I will put my mouth on his mouth!- 30 Rock, 3x10 Generalissimo
